The entries to the 2011 Star Lubricants Cluj Rally are still going on, even if the official entry period has ended. 54 crews and 3 teams have announced their participation so far. So there are 2 crews entried to Class 2, 10 to Class 3, 3 to Class 5, 5 to Class 6, 20 to Class 9, which is the most popular one, 3 to Class 11, 9 to Class 19 and one crew having a Diesel-powered car. The entries may continue until the start of the reconaissance, so that the number of participants is likely to increase.

As you have been accustomed to, over the years, during this edition as well, the organizers have prepared several activities related to the rally. So, before the start of the Superspecial Stage in the Polus Center (Friday, the 27th May 2011, starting at 18:37), the spectators looking for an adrenaline rush will be able to admire the motorbikes of the only Cluj team participating in the Dunlop Romanian Superbike Championship � 33TEAM CLUJ.
Between 16:00-17:00, on the route of the superspecial there will be a show organized by the HPI RACING ROMANIA automodel enthusiasts, meant for the children and not only for them. You will be able to admire automodels with gassoline fueled termic engines, nitromethane fueled termic engines and electric motors, as well as spare parts, consumables and other related materials displayed at the presentation stand.
At 17:00-17:30, three young skillful participants in the National Karting Championship will take the spotlight: Mihai TRIFU and Claudiu MATEAS, both using 125 cmc karts, participating in the KZ2 class and Ionut CORNEA, participant in the Mini 60 class. Together with them, there will be another 3 childrens from Cluj-Napoca Children�s Palace: Vlad Zagony Szabo, in the 50 class, Luca Mocan and David Marin, in the 60 class.
This year too, the TVR3 television channel will be a coproducer of the Polus Center Cluj Superspecial, so this will be broadcast live between 18:30 � 20:00, on TVR 3 channel and TVR Cluj channel. Taking this into account, the producers, organizers and race management have decided that the start order of the superspecial should be according to the current general standings.
The 2011 Star Lubricants Cluj Rally is taking place under the care of the Romanian Federation of Sport Motoring, with the aid of the Cluj County Council and the Cluj-Napoca Townhall and Local Council, as well as the Cluj County Direction for Sport and Youth.
